Ron Kubick

CEO & Managing Partner

Prior to founding OceanArc Capital Partners, Ron led the Capital Markets Advisory Group at Miller Buckfire & Co., a boutique investment bank focused on advising clients through complex transformational issues that include recapitalizations, restructurings, distressed M&A, credit facility amendments, and debt & equity financing transactions.  He also served as a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley, where he led the Strategic Finance and ABL Capital Markets Groups.  Prior to Morgan Stanley, he was Head of Strategic Finance at Barclays Capital and Head of Restructuring Finance at Tygris Commercial Finance (a $2.0B corporate finance company backed by Aquiline Capital, TPG, and New Mountain).  Previously, he spent nine years as a founding member of GE Capital's Retail And Restructuring Finance Group where he held senior positions in areas of origination, credit & underwriting, and audit/field exams.  Throughout his career, he has provided over $30B of new issue capital ($14B for turnaround / restructuring situations), all with zero losses on credit & syndication. 


As the founder of OceanArc Capital, he is responsible for managing client relationships and leads all advisory assignments for the firm.  Ron is a senior capital markets banker with 25+ years of experience in leveraged finance (specializing in ABL's) and investment banking roles providing issuers and clients with capital and advice in complex or distressed situations.

Kurt Jomo

Managing Director | Business Development

Senior corporate and investment banking professional with 35 years of corporate finance, lending and capital markets experience providing advice and capital to both leveraged and investment grade issuers and borrowers, with deep expertise in the Retail and Consumer sectors.


He has built and led Retail and Consumer investment banking coverage groups at J.P. Morgan and Barclays Capital, and has also had responsibility for Paper and Packaging and Business Services coverage. He has extensive experience originating, structuring, negotiating and distributing numerous bank and institutional loans and financings, and a broad range of debt capital markets transactions (including equity-linked and liability management) in the public and private markets, as well as multiple financial sponsor portfolio company financings. Earlier in his career, he was a senior originator in the market–leading Restructuring and Reorganization financing group of a J.P. Morgan predecessor firm that underwrote and syndicated DIP and Exit Facility financings.


Prior to joining OceanArc Capital Partners, he was the senior banker in New York covering Retail and Consumer clients in J.P. Morgan’s Global Corporate Bank (North America) within the Corporate & Investment Bank. Immediately prior to J.P. Morgan (his second tour of duty), he was a Senior Managing director at CoveView Advisors, a capital markets and financing advisory firm serving portfolio companies of middle-market private equity firms. Prior to that, he built and ran the investment banking coverage teams for Retail & Consumer, Paper & Packaging and Business Services at Barclays Capital. Before Barclays, he had a 20-year career in various client coverage and financing roles at J.P. Morgan and predecessors, and was Head of the Retail Investment Banking group at the time he left.
